Cartier Santos Chronograph
Cartier has introduced a new, smaller generation of its Santos de Cartier Chronograph, addressing a trend towards more modestly sized watches. This updated model mirrors the dimensions of the popular time-only Santos, offering a more conventional pusher layout and a refined dial design compared to its 2020 predecessor.
- 39.8mm case width
- 47.5mm lug-to-lug measurement
- 11.6mm thickness
- 100m water resistance
- 47-hour power reserve
- Available in yellow gold, two-tone, and stainless steel
The new generation of Santos de Cartier chronographs measures 39.8mm wide, 47.5mm long, and 11.6mm thick, a reduction from the previous XL size of 43.3mm wide, 51.4mm lug-to-lug, and 12.5mm thick.
The chronograph pushers have been moved to a conventional placement on either side of the crown, featuring rectangular and curved shapes that match the case design.
The dial features a balanced layout with a larger running seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, accommodating the date window within its edge.
Dial finishes include vertical brushing on the center and minute track, with a sunray brush on the hour chapter ring, and flashed circles around the azurage sub-dials.
The 1904-CH MC caliber is an integrated chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch, designed by Val Fleurier.
The watch is presented on a bracelet with Cartier's SmartLink system for easy adjustment.
The two-tone version features a steel case with a yellow gold bezel and gold screws on the bracelet.
A second black rubber strap is provided with the watch, both featuring Cartier's QuickSwitch interchangeable system.
