Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Power Reserve
Dresden-based manufacture Lang & Heyne has updated its Friedrich III model with a new power reserve complication, powered by the manually wound LH Caliber VI-II. This new version retains the original's elegant, time-only design while adding a sophisticated differential mechanism to track the remaining energy.

The Friedrich III Power Reserve features a three-piece, flat-polished ceramic dial with a central decorative medallion finished with a fine givré texture, toned to match the case metal.
Elongated Roman numerals are engraved into the ceramic and filled with black lacquer, with minute and power reserve markings in red or blue depending on the execution.
The power reserve indication at 12 o'clock uses a graduated scale with German terms 'Ab' and 'Auf', and a sequence of diminishing dots at the start to recall marine chronometer indications.
The new LH Caliber VI-II incorporates a newly developed differential mechanism to track the mainspring barrel's wind state, combining two movements onto a single axis for the power reserve display.
The movement features traditional finishing including a hand-engraved balance cock, polished bevels, sharp internal angles, and a brilliant-cut diamond end stone over the balance staff.
The watch retains Lang & Heyne's signature triple-lug construction, though clients can opt for a conventional two-lug configuration.
