Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon 1969
To commemorate the 57th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Swatch and Omega have released the Mission to the Moon 1969, a limited edition of 1,969 individually numbered pieces. This iteration of the MoonSwatch incorporates 11 grams of Omega's 18K Moonshine™ Gold into its construction, including the dial, hands, crown, and chronograph pushers, with the gold sourced from historic Omega spare parts.

The 18K Moonshine™ Gold used in the dial, hands, crown, and pushers is reclaimed from old Omega parts dating back to the era of the Apollo 11 mission.
The watch's price is based on the value of 11 grams of 18K gold in 1969, rather than the current market price.
The dial features the "OM" designation, standing for "or massif" (solid gold), and is engraved with "Au 750" to denote its solid gold construction.
The design borrows aesthetic motifs from the "Nixon" Speedmasters gifted to American astronauts, including a gold dial and black inlay for hands and markers.
The online application process, dubbed "ESTA" (Electronic Swatch Timepiece Application), involves answering 32 questions and is designed to mitigate the chaotic queues seen at previous Swatch releases.
The 32 questions in the ESTA application include multiple-choice questions on Omega, Swatch, or Apollo mission history, as well as more abstract prompts requiring typed responses.
The battery cover features a golden Moon design with an anti-scratch coating, displaying the date of the moon landing and a footprint referencing the first step on the Sea of Tranquillity.
Each watch is individually numbered, with its number engraved on the side of the case at 9 o'clock and finished with a touch of golden lacquer.
