Grøne Horologium Small Seconds
Grøne, the more accessible brand from Dutch watchmaking brothers Bart and Tim Grönefeld, has introduced the Horologium Small Seconds. Available in two distinct variants, "Something Quirky" and "Something Classic," the watch aims to blend traditional watchmaking with contemporary design and is positioned as a more attainable offering than the high-end Grönefeld atelier pieces. Both versions feature a multi-layered dial construction with a subsidiary seconds subdial at 6 o'clock and a manually wound La Joux-Perret movement with custom finishing.

The "Quirky" variant features a bright orange dial with baby blue accents, nodding to Dutch heritage, while the "Classic" variant has a refined salmon dial with sunray finishing.
Both variants showcase diamond-cut and polished applied hour markers and a multi-layer dial construction with a subsidiary seconds at 6:00.
The manually wound La Joux-Perret caliber features custom finishing including sunburst snailing, blued screws, machine anglage, and a combination of sandblasting and mirror polishing.
The "Quirky" variant has "Zoals het klokje thuis tikt, tikt het nergens" ("home sweet home") printed on the inside of the display caseback crystal, while the "Classic" variant has a clear crystal.
The caseband has a satin brushed finish to create an illusion of thinness, and the lugs are redesigned with a more pronounced downturned angle for improved wearability.
The movement bridge carries the Grøne Oldenzaal identity and the inscription “Ontworpen door Bart en Tim Grönefeld,” meaning “Designed by Bart and Tim Grönefeld.”
The "Quirky" dial combines vivid Dutch orange and baby blue, with heat-blued hands and polished diamond-cut hour markers, while the "Classic" salmon dial has a sunray finish with flame-blued hands.
The case combines brushed and polished surfaces, with downward-curving lugs intended to help it sit comfortably on the wrist.
