Seiko Pandagraph HHK001 and HHK002
Seiko has produced two limited-edition chronographs, the HHK001 and HHK002, based on Kiyotaka Sakai's "Pandagraph" concept, which playfully interprets the "panda dial" nickname. These watches feature a bullhead chronograph layout with ear-shaped pushers and panda-face elements on the dial, powered by a mecha-quartz movement.
- Limited to 3,000 pieces (HHK001) and 2,000 pieces (HHK002)
- Price: £510 / €590 / US$540
- Available from November
The HHK001 features a classic white and black panda dial, while the HHK002 is a pink and black version inspired by newborn pandas.
The watches incorporate panda-like features including ear-shaped pushers, bamboo-leaf hands, and a "Sasameter" scale referencing bamboo grass.
The caseback depicts the rear view of a panda, complete with a tail.
The dial texture is designed to resemble fur, with subdials forming the panda's eyes and elements at 6 o'clock creating a nose and mouth.
The bullhead chronograph layout positions the crown and pushers at the top of the 43mm stainless steel case.
The mecha-quartz movement is accurate to ±15 seconds per month and resistant to magnetic fields up to 4,800 A/m.
Leather straps feature suede-like material on the tip and first keeper, a toned-down nod to the concept's hairy keepers.
