The dial features a two-piece construction with a stainless steel chapter ring and a hand-scratched maillechort disc, using a technique adapted from charbonnage.
The movement is a heavily modified Unitas 6498, retaining only the base plate and wheel train, with Tristan Ho's own maillechort bridges replacing the originals.
The custom bridges on the movement have a distinctive curved profile, with polished, bevelled recesses for the screws and sharp internal and external angles.
The watch was nominated for the 2026 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the Challenge Category.
Tristan Ho taught himself watchmaking through online resources and experimentation, transitioning from a career in biomedical research.
The watch is assembled in Ho's home workshop in Singapore, occupying a space of approximately 100 square feet.
The thermally treated hands provide a contrast to the dial.
