Panerai Submersible PAM01756
Panerai has released the new Submersible PAM01756, notable as the first 44mm Submersible model to be offered on a stainless steel bracelet rather than a strap. This time-only watch features a black sunray-brushed dial and a blue ceramic bezel, building on the design of a previous special edition.
- 44mm brushed stainless steel case
- Blue ceramic bezel insert
- 500m water resistance
- 72-hour power reserve
- Price: €12,800/$13,200/£11,000
The PAM01756 is the first 44mm Submersible to feature a metal bracelet, a rare offering for Panerai collectors (Paneristi).
The watch has a time-only dial, omitting the date window found on other standard 44mm Submersible models, and uses a lumed index for the 3 o'clock marker.
The stainless steel bracelet features an H-link design with half-circle elements on each link, designed to emulate the shape of the Submersible's crown protection system.
The case is constructed from AISI 316LVM grade 1.4441 stainless steel, which Panerai states offers increased resistance to corrosion.
The steel caseback is engraved with an image of the "Slow Speed Torpedo" (Siluro Lenta Corsa), an underwater assault craft used by Italian Navy commandos.
The movement, calibre P.980, operates at 4Hz and includes hacking seconds.
