A. Lange & Söhne is hosting a "Challenging Chronographs" exhibition in Singapore's ION Orchard mall from October 18-30, 2026. The event highlights the brand's history and expertise in chronographs, with a special focus on their connection to classic motoring. Visitors can witness live demonstrations by master watchmakers and engravers from Glashütte.
The exhibition pairs A. Lange & Söhne's chronograph history with classic motoring and features live demonstrations by artisans from Glashütte.
The brand's modern chronograph history began in 1999 with the Datograph, notable for its outsize date, flyback function, and precise jumping minute counter.
A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Double Split in 2004, the world's first mechanical chronograph with a double rattrapante mechanism, allowing comparative timings up to 30 minutes.
The Triple Split followed in 2018, adding a split hour counter for comparative measurements up to 12 hours.
The exhibition draws from Lange's long-standing connection to classic cars, including partnerships with Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, and the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance.
A master watchmaker and master engraver from Lange's Glashütte manufacture will be present throughout the pop-up, demonstrating intricate details like floral patterns on balance cocks and decorative motifs on casebacks.
