RGM Model 501-PC Perpetual Calendar
American independent watchmaker RGM has reintroduced the perpetual calendar complication with its new Model 501-PC. This watch draws inspiration from 19th-century American pocket watches and features a Grand Feu enamel dial, a modified Swiss automatic movement, and a classic 39mm stainless steel case. It marks RGM's first perpetual calendar model since the late 1990s.

The 501-PC's design takes cues from complicated pocket watches of the late 1800s, reflecting RGM's traditional American watchmaking aesthetic.
The 39mm case is constructed from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, featuring curved lugs and a crown at 3 o'clock, with a thickness of 11.5mm.
The white Grand Feu enamel dial is intended to evoke the crisp appearance and resistance to aging found in historic perpetual calendar pocket watches.
Indications include recessed date at 3 o'clock, day at 9, month at 12 (with a four-year leap year cycle), and a moon phase display at 6 o'clock.
The movement is an ETA 2892-A2, extensively modified by RGM with a custom Dubois Dépraz perpetual calendar module, and finished with Côtes de Genève, perlage, and blued screws.
The solid-gold winding rotor is engraved with the RGM logo and its U.S. location.
