Legare Chapter 1 AGP Inverted
Legare, a new brand founded by Wei Koh and Guillaume Tetu, has launched its first watch, the Chapter 1 AGP Inverted. This timepiece is inspired by a rare 1932 pocket watch by Albert-Gustave Piguet, which featured a differential regulating two large balance wheels. The Legare watch revives this concept with an inverted movement, placing the intricate mechanics on full display from the front.

The watch's movement is inverted, displaying the moving train on the front, and utilizes side-angled lever escapements for compactness.
Two executions are available: 'Elegant' with Geneva-striped German silver and 'Darth' with a matte black rhodium finish.
The design references Albert-Gustave Piguet's 1932 double-balance pocket watch, a rare piece that influenced Philippe Dufour's 'Duality'.
The movement development, sourcing, assembly, and quality control are coordinated by GLS2F, with components from PURTEC, UM2, Polissage des Franches-Montages, FABRIKA, SEBAL, and WAEBER HMS.
The case features a modern, angular aesthetic with high flanks, a stepped bezel, sharp lugs, and beveled surfaces.
The floating sapphire dials have printed minute and second tracks and applied hour markers, mixing Roman numerals with square pyramid markers.
The hands are mirror-polished, flame-blued steel.
