Roger Dubuis Excalibur The Kabuto Legacy
Roger Dubuis has unveiled the Excalibur The Kabuto Legacy, a limited edition of 28 timepieces inspired by 17th-century Japanese samurai and the Tokugawa Shogunate. The watches feature intricate métiers d’art, with a central three-dimensional representation of Edo Castle and 12 distinct samurai helmets (kabuto) as hour markers, each meticulously crafted and finished.

The dial features a three-dimensional Edo Castle in pink gold with black PVD and blue CVD coatings, surrounded by 12 hand-crafted samurai kabuto (helmets) in pink gold.
The watch is powered by the in-house automatic RD821 caliber, which boasts 14 finishing techniques and the Poinçon de Genève certification.
The case back offers a view of the movement and features laser-engraved crests of the 12 generals on a blue-coated pink gold ring.
The strap is made of indigo calfskin with stitched segments inspired by traditional samurai armor.
Tokugawa Ieyasu's kabuto is positioned at 12 o'clock, featuring a fern crest symbolizing success and resilience.
The color scheme includes deep indigo, a nod to traditional Japanese dye associated with samurai garments.
