Buci Nouvelle Collection
French independent brand Buci has launched its second collection, the Nouvelle, a compact and unisex dress watch inspired by short stories and the written word. The design incorporates elements referencing book pages and fountain pens, with hand-painted calligraphic numerals and a unique hourly alignment of the hands.

The 36mm stainless steel case features a combination of polished and satin-brushed finishes, with an oval, concave bezel and a fluted mid-case inspired by book pages.
The dial is textured to resemble blotting paper and is available in an 'Essentiel' (aged paper tone) or 'Contemplation' (deep blue) execution.
Numerals are hand-painted by a Parisian calligrapher in an irregular style, forming a crescent composition, and the hours and minutes hands align to form a fountain-pen nib shape once per hour.
The manually wound Sellita SW219 movement is an Elaboré-grade caliber with 19 jewels and an operating frequency of 28,800 vph.
Straps are interchangeable calfskin with quick-release spring bars, available in cream, blue, brown, and grey nubuck, tapering from 18mm to 16mm.
The watch is presented in a book-shaped box with an accompanying notebook.
