Foundation Haute Horlogerie Expands FHH Academy with Gemological Institute of America Partnership
The Foundation Haute Horlogerie (FHH) has announced a new partnership with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to expand its FHH Academy programs. This collaboration marks the first time the GIA has allowed external trainers on its campuses and will see FHH Academy courses offered at the GIA's Carlsbad, California campus starting in early 2027.

The FHH Academy, established in 2014, offers online courses covering watchmaking fundamentals, culture, heritage, and technical aspects in 11 languages, with select in-person courses available in Geneva.
The GIA is recognized as a leading authority in gemology and the gem and jewelry sector, having educated over 200,000 professionals globally since 1931.
This partnership represents the GIA's first collaboration with an external entity for teaching on its campuses.
The FHH aims to expand its presence in the US market and reach new audiences within the jewelry industry through this partnership.
Pascal Ravessoud, Vice President of the FHH, described the collaboration as an experiment to reach new people outside the traditional watch industry and increase appreciation for watchmaking.
