Urwerk UR-100V Lightspeed Ceramic
Urwerk has introduced the UR-100V Lightspeed Ceramic, a new iteration of its UR-100 series that visualizes the time it takes for sunlight to reach planets in our solar system. This model features a novel white ceramic composite case designed for enhanced impact resistance alongside scratch resistance, with subtle striations visible beneath the surface.
- Price: CHF 67,000 before taxes
- 43mm width x 51.7mm length x 14.55mm thickness
- 50m water resistance
- 48-hour power reserve
The case is constructed from a proprietary composite of ceramic, glass, and carbon fibers embedded in a white polymer matrix, offering improved impact resistance over conventional ceramic.
The layered case construction reveals subtle silver-grey striations beneath the white surface, creating a dynamic appearance that shifts between glossy and matte.
Instead of illustrating Earth's movement, this model displays the time sunlight takes to reach planets, with a blue and green hand completing a 3-hour rotation.
The movement features Urwerk's Windfänger system, an air-resistance turbine on the rotor to limit speed and improve long-term reliability.
The watch is delivered with two straps: one black rubber and one white rubber with a deployant clasp.
