The Type 10 DN "Dark Knight" features a new case design with a cushion-like silhouette and a flush-integrated rubber strap, offering a different wearing experience compared to previous Ressence models.
The entire case, strap, buckle, and dial are coated in a glossy, dark blue hue, which is believed to be a ceramic coating rather than DLC.
The bezel insert is segmented with brushed and sandblasted lumed inserts for the ten-minute marks, designed to break up light uniquely.
The dial, inspired by the Type 7, includes a 120-second runner subdial (functioning as a running indicator and shock absorber), a temperature indicator, and a simplified graphical GMT subdial.
The oil-filled dial creates an extremely clear appearance, making it look as if the dial is projected onto the crystal.
The mechanical RW-04 caliber is housed in the lower half of the movement, separated from the oil-filled upper section by a titanium membrane, and drives the dial via magnets.
Time and winding are set by unscrewing the outer perimeter of the multi-part caseback, which also functions as a screw-down gasket.
The 41.5mm case wears significantly smaller in person due to the blockier case, small lugs, and downturned rubber strap.
