Rolex Perpetual Padellone
Rolex has introduced the Perpetual Padellone, an instantaneous annual calendar watch with a moonphase complication, joining the 1908 collection. This new model pays homage to the vintage reference 8171 "Padellone" and features a new caliber 7190 movement with the Dynapulse Escapement system. The watch is available in 18k Everose gold and 950 platinum, with distinct dial colors and strap/bracelet options.

The Perpetual Padellone is an instantaneous annual calendar, requiring correction only once a year, unlike the vintage reference 8171 which was a triple calendar needing monthly adjustments.
The watch features a fluted bezel and crown, consistent with the 1908 collection's design language, and has four correctors on the caseband for calendar adjustments.
The platinum version has an ice blue dial with a grained texture, while the Everose gold version features a white dial with the same texture.
The new movement, caliber 7190, incorporates Rolex's Dynapulse Escapement system, which debuted in the Land-Dweller.
The design is an explicit homage to the vintage Rolex 8171 "Padellone", sharing visual characteristics and the collector-given nickname.
The watch re-enters Rolex into the complication category after more than 70 years, balancing nostalgia with modern technical innovation.
The caseband pushers for calendar adjustment are a tribute to the 8171 and can be operated in any sequence without damaging the watch.
The moonphase indicator at 6 o'clock uses a blue enamel disc with full and new moons represented by meteorite elements, with the new moon treated with dark blue PVD.
