Watch Ho & Co. x Selten Yum Cha Edition
This third collaboration between Watch Ho & Co. and Selten celebrates the enthusiast group's third anniversary with a deeply personal watch inspired by founder Jackie Ho's childhood memories of dim sum. The Yum Cha edition features a unique hand-engraved Grand Feu enamel dial mimicking a bamboo steamer lid, a significant departure from previous CNC-machined designs.
- Limited to 100 pieces
- Price: USD 4,950 / HKD 38,828
The dial is hand-engraved by Selten's Master Qin, with approximately 80 rectangles each filled with dozens of precisely cut lines, taking about 8 hours for the engraving alone.
Grand Feu enameling is applied over eight layers, resulting in a transparent amber shade that darkens towards the periphery, with the entire dial process taking around 16.5 hours and a rejection rate of nearly half.
The production handset will be longer and broader than the prototype's 'tea leaf' hands, and the crystal will be more domed.
The solid caseback features artwork by Lee Yuen-Rapati (@onehourwatch), depicting Jackie Ho as a child with his grandparents, with a customizable three-digit number on the table stand.
The watch is powered by a manually wound Sellita SW210-2 M Power+ movement, adjusted in five positions for an accuracy of approximately ±6 seconds per day.
The watch is presented in a handcrafted bamboo steamer basket, accompanied by three bamboo coasters and a warranty card that mimics Hong Kong dim sum order cards.
The case design is clean and simple with a recessed, brushed midcase and generously chamfered lugs, though the case itself is a millimeter smaller than previous Selten designs.
The artwork on the caseback subtly references the third anniversary of Watch Ho & Co. with elements like three teacups and three pairs of chopsticks.
